Food safety in corporate dining is a top priority at Café Services.  As corporate food service providers, our health and safety compliance standards are key reasons clients entrust their cafeteria management to us.

Café Services workplace food programs meet or exceed regulatory guidelines and requirements for health and safety compliance because we consistently implement state of the art food quality and safety measures.

Food Safety Training 

Employees receive ongoing formal training about food safety standards and hygiene standards, to gain cafeteria management expertise and accountability in all facets of foodservice and physical safety. Training courses include lectures, visual aids and periodic follow-up to ensure learning objectives are achieved and practiced. 

Additionally, all employees learn corporate food service management fundamentals focused on overcoming safety risks and hazards. Monthly meetings with on-site leaders cover a variety of topic such as knife safety, winter safety, and slip and fall prevention.

To avoid disrupting day-to-day corporate dining services, all training is planned outside of peak work and production schedules.  Our culinary services teams follow ServSafe food safety handling protocols to prevent contamination and maintain food quality.

Food Freshness Labeling and Tracking System

Café Services corporate cafeterias, micro markets and c-stores use state-of-the-art cloud-based software and labeling systems. Each food item we serve is clearly labeled with the name, ingredients, date and time produced, and a scannable barcode. This ensures our office dining customers of food quality and freshness, and allows our corporate culinary services teams to accurately manage food inventory.

Site Surveys, Inspections and Safety Audits

Café Services’ site inspectors perform surveys and safety inspections to ensure the safety and health of the food we serve, the people who prepare it, the methods used to serve it, and the diners who consume it.

For each on-site corporate dining customer site we support, Café Services assigns a full-time auditor to regularly perform food and physical safety audits in support of providing exceptional foodservice.

HACCP Food Safety Standards

We apply Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards across all food management activities – from receiving to storage, preparation, and serving – to ensure consistent freshness and quality.

Food Safety Education Month

Our commitment to high food safety standards also includes company-wide annual participation in the National Restaurant Association’s Food Safety Education Month. We promote regulatory guidelines of the USDA and CDC during this event every September, with resources and education regarding safe food handling and other traditional and timely topics.
